Do-It-Yourself

Doing it yourself is one of the best ways to save money.  Almost everything requires labor and therein is the biggest cost of everything produced.  When we do it ourselves with our own free labor the savings can be tremendous.  A good example of this is the trimming of our miniature poodle.  Over the past 10 years we have saved $3,899.00 just for bathing and trimming our precious Peppy ourselves.  The savings on my husband’s haircuts over the past 17 years is even more astonishing at a whooping $5,100.00.  When these two are added together – $8,999.00!  The only expense for trimming Peppy and cutting my husband’s hair was a Wahl clipper from Walmart at $39.95 and my free labor.  And yes, I use the same clippers and blade-guards for both.  The clippers come with an instructional video.  Easy to follow instructions are also included.  These are just two examples of the savings that can be accomplished by doing it yourself.  Remember you can accomplish almost anything if you make a decision to try and just take your time.  It won’t be long before you’ll be coming up with all kinds of things you can easily do yourself.  I will be adding videos to this page as I do more do-it-yourself.
